This seminar will introduce SQL performance basics and filtering, and provide those skills necessary to analyze and improve SQL statements for performance. In addition, advanced SQL will be highlighted along with its performance impact and its use to improve performance. The proper monitoring of systems and SQL will be presented so that the most important SQL will be tuned first. The impact of advanced database objects, such as stored procedures, user-defined functions, triggers and constraints will be discussed in regards to performance. Techniques for the simulation and testing of performance concepts will be presented along with advanced database table and index design for performance. |
